Choosing the YF98RTM-G Gas Lawn Tractor in Canada
The YF98RTM-G is a gas lawn tractor, not a battery-powered mower. Its 432cc engine powers mowing and travel; its 12V battery supports electric starting. Begin by comparing the 38.5-inch cutting width, your access points and the controls, then confirm the current retailer package.
Separate cutting width from access width
A cutting-width figure tells you the deck’s mowing path. It is not the machine’s total width, turning space or storage footprint. Measure the route between the delivery location, storage and lawn. Use the current manual and retailer dimensions when checking gates or a shed; do not infer overall size from the product name.
Compare the mowing and travel controls
The published model information lists pedal-controlled AutoDrive, rear-wheel drive, side discharge and seven cutting-height positions. These are concrete features to review alongside the manual. The step-through frame, seat and footpads are also worth checking in person when possible. Do not choose a tractor from an acreage claim alone.
Confirm the package and keep the paperwork
The matched Costco Canada listing identifies model YF98RTM-G and lists a wrench kit and 12V battery. Ask the retailer to confirm the contents of its current offer, delivery access and assembly arrangements. The owner’s manual includes mulching-cover installation instructions, which do not establish that a cover is included in every retail package.
